De voornaamste producten zijn kaarten met warmtevraag en warmte-aanbod voor de huidige situatie (2012) en een kaart met kansrijke gebieden voor warmterecuperatie en warmtenetten in de toekomst, en dit beiden voor het grondgebied Vlaanderen. De studie werd uitgevoerd door VITO in samenwerking met de distributienetbeheerders Eandis en Infrax. Ze bieden een overzicht van het restwarmtepotentieel van enerzijds installaties voor elektriciteitsopwekking met een totale jaarlijkse elektriciteitsproductie van meer dan 20 GWh en anderzijds afvalverbrandingsinstallaties.
